Everyone has a story they wish to write - it could be a true story, something that happened to you or to someone you know. Or perhaps you've read something in the news that won't let you go. Maybe it's a story of futuristic world or a mythical past. It might be impossible to tell your story in just a few pages - perhaps your story has the scope of novel. Your story might take shape as a song or a poem, or a series thereof. Or a graphic novel, or a script for a screenplay … If you don't know what your story is, but would like to find out - or you'd just like to try your hand at writing (and there are, believe me, thousands of stories just waiting to be written!) - come along for the adventure. You can be certain your story will reveal itself to you during this one-day workshop. We'll get started with writing exercises and discussion to loosen up. You'll complete your story at home and share it will the group at a follow-up open-mic session.

If you have taken part in a previous workshop and would like to deepen that experience or simply write something new, welcome back! We'll get started, as always, with writing exercises to loosen up. We'll experiment with new perspectives, create new characters and settings, and see what happens when it all comes together.
